MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

• Co-ordinate all activities required to direct and control incoming components quality. In particular to review product quality for individual assembly lines.
• Review QC processes and recommend improvements as necessary
• Ensure that quality control documentation meets customer requirements.
• Supervise inspections, reports and the documentation and collect and file the required Quality Records.
• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
• Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
• Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
• Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
• Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and control day to day operations of department
• Ensure zero defects reach assembly lines
• Ensure timely checking of components
• Co-ordinate with store and management to ensure vendors can meet their supplies on time ensuring no compromise on quality
• Co-ordinate vendor visits with management to ensure all vendors meet our quality standards
• Immediate notification to Management of any Quality Control issues.
