| Job Description: |
The candidate will be part of the Product Engineering team to develop the Mainframe Modernization tools and utilities. As a Mainframe expert the candidate reviews, analyzes and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system. Maintains and develops on-line and batch application programs. He develops and implements a disaster recovery plan. He works with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts. He also works on projects of medium to high complexity in a support role. Typically requires 5+ years of related experience
- The IBM Mainframe System Programmer installs, tests, and maintains the z/OS operating system, and related IBM and third-party software products.
Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have a general knowledge of the operation of and problem-resolution for most vendor-provided mainframe software. Additionally, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge and experience in one or more specialized areas.
- The candidate will contribute to the mainframe migration tools and utilities.

- ISPF, JCL, SCLM, SDSF, TSO, JES2, VSAM
- IBM utilities and Tools including REXX, ABEND-AID, SYNCSORT, IEBGENER, IEFBR14, IEBCOMPR and IDCAMS
- IBM File Manager and Fault Analyzer
- SMP/E, HMC, EREP, ICSF, PR/SM
- CICS Transaction Server and related products:
- CICS Transaction Gateway (GTG)
- CICS WebServices
- IBM CICS Explorer, IPCS
- DB2 for z/OS and related products: DB2 Utilities, File-Aid for DB2
- QMF
- IBM DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition
- z/OS Storage Administration and related products:
- DFDSS, DFHSM, SKLM, CA MIM, IOCP, TDMF, DFP
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in development, administration and supporting z/OS, CICS, DB2 and related products
