As a Mobile developer, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you should be able to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. This job focus is on developing mobile apps with Android and related technologies. Any additional experience with iOS App development will be an advantage.

The role is working for a UK-based, well-established, multi-national company that specialises in Education Technologies (EdTech). You will be working normal office hours (minimum 40 hours a week) from your home as a remote working employee parallel to the UK office hours. 

The successful candidates will have a 6 months’ probation period of the employment contract and who will complete the probation period successfully will be initially offered 3 years UK work permit (3 years sponsorship) to work from our London office.

Imperial Learning Ltd is part of the group of companies specialises in Education Technology (EdTech) industry, and it produces various educational technological products includes, LMS (Learning Management Systems), e-Learning resources, Educational Multimedia resources, Educational Database Management System (edCRM), Exam Procter, Virtual Learning Platforms, Digital Badges, Educational Web and Mobile Application etc. The group of companies mainly engage in Education and related Technological software and multimedia production for Learning and Educational Businesses and its core is IT and Multimedia. Responsibilities:

• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)


• Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code


• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions


• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions


• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance


• Design interfaces to improve user experience


• Liaise with the Product development team to plan new features


• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards


• Research and suggest new mobile products, applications, and protocols


• Stay up to date with new technology trends

Skills/ Experience Required: 

• A minimum of 2 years of commercial experience within a similar role - Mobile Developer, App Developer (Android Developer)


• Solid experience in developing mobile apps with Android and related technologies. Having experience with iOS App development will be an advantage. 


• A willingness to learn


• Applicants with a relevant degree are preferred


• Strong Mobile Developer experience (Android) using React Native and Redux ideally


• Good knowledge of some of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux, Jest, RESTful APIs, CI/CD


• Ability to handle the high workload and high responsibility


• Experience within Agile environments


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills


• Objective-C, Swift, Java, Scala, Kotlin. React Native


• HTML5/CSS/JS


• API creation and integration - experience working with Web Service-related technologies, including SOAP and REST


• Testing tools and approaches


• Cloud engineering platforms such as AWS


• Knowledge and understanding of the development and design experience on mobile phone platforms.
