General objectives of the function:
Logistic Specialist (Mechanic) executes the vehicle and equipment maintenance protocols, procedures and plan on all the vehicles and mechanical equipment of the mission at capital level to ensure optimal operation of vehicle and equipment
Key responsibilities include:
Execute vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance protocol, procedures and plan
- Do services A - B - C on vehicles and equipment according to maintenance plan and protocols
- Repair vehicle or equipment when there is a breakdown
- Collaborate in quantity and quality the assistant-mechanic, and gives necessary Support
- Perform Mechanical & Electrical Diagnosing of the Vehicles
Garage, tools, equipment inventory and maintenance
- Maintain inventory list of garage tools and equipment
- Ensure quality, integrity and functionality of tools and equipment under the inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of zones in the garage/workshop
Garage supplies inventory management
- Updates logbook, inventory cards, inventory list and job card based on reception and consumption
- Make internal request when supplies and consumables are within the established minimum levels
- Sorting and recycling of used parts, oil, metals, pneumatics and papers in the garage/workshop area and the proper storage of the materials
- Conduct daily/weekly Checks of vehicles in terms of safety and security
Reporting requirements
- Vehicle Repair report on weekly and monthly basis
- Supplies and consumables consumption report
There is a possibility of non-recurrent travel to Dadu to support other MSF projects per needed.
