Position Related:
Telenor Global shared services Pakistan, a Shared Service Centre, is the service provider of IT Solutions and various allied IT and functional support services in the areas of finance, accounts, HR and SCM to the Telenor Group companies globally. As service provider, GSS helps Telenor Business Units companies handle their day-to-day, non-core and repetitive processes and operations so they can focus their energies and resources on strategic initiatives that give them competitive edge.

Telenor GSS IT Operations is undergoing re-structuring. The key objectives are
  • Professionalization of GSS IT Operations as part of Industrialization journey within Group
  • Industrialize the GSS Pakistan Global IT Service (GIS) delivery and move from staff augmentation model to a managed service delivery model,
  • Building and securing key capabilities and competencies for Group in a captive delivery center in GSS Pakistan, in a global delivery model with
  • IT Operations (in Norway) responsible for strategic and tactical management of GSS IT Portfolio
  • IT Service Integrator (in Pakistan)- New organization, specializing on ITIL process and ensuring quality delivered by vendors and CoEs, fully offshored and SLA-based,
  • Centre of Excellence (in Pakistan)- State-of-art organization of development delivery centers in specific functional domain
Change Manager(s) will have an important role to ensure that proposed changes within own domain are controlled, monitored, and implemented with minimum disruption to the services being delivered. Coordination of the IT change implementation in domain as well as review and formally close the IT change on successful completion will be part of the role. Responsibility will also include ensuring handling of remediation activities in the event that the change is implemented unsuccessfully.

Goals
  • Responsible for responding to Service Lines changing business requirements while ensuring quality according to requirements, and reducing incidents, disruption and re-work
  • Deliver on all IT Change Management targets and KPIs set to secure the set goals.
  • Execute on IT Service Change Request process according to requirements, across all vendors within domain and according to Portfolio Strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure SOX, architecture and risk compliance
  • Ensure continuous quality improvements, standardization and cost reduction initiatives within domain
Your Typical day at work
  • Coordinate the IT change implementation. Review and formally close the IT change on successful completion
  • Ensure that the business is aware of the IT change schedule
  • Conduct requirement analysis and keep track of all the IT changes
  • Obtain estimate and propose solution for valid IT Change requests
  • Follow defined procedures to ensure quality and compliance (processes and checklists)
  • Proactively seek to improve the change and release process and work with improvement activities across service lines
  • Follow up with vendors and development teams according to governance
  • Recommend release dates lining it up with the Release Manager / 3rd party vendor for Implementing Change
Eligibility Criteria

Education:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in IT/Engineering/Computer Sciences or similar
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certified ITIL Change management Specialist track
Work experience:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the ITIL and Change and Release Management
  • Solid experience working with ITIL processes in operational environments
  • Strong knowledge of Release Management
  • Beneficial with project knowledge and project methodology
  • Be experienced in coordinating many parties of interest in the intersection between business and IT
  • Experience with working in multinational team
