Position Related:
Telenor Global shared services – Pakistan, a Shared Service Centre, is the service provider of IT Solutions and various allied IT and functional support services in the areas of finance, accounts, HR and SCM to the Telenor Group companies globally. As service provider, GSS helps Telenor Business Units companies handle their day-to-day, non-core and repetitive processes and operations so they can focus their energies and resources on strategic initiatives that give them competitive edge.

Telenor GSS IT Operations is undergoing re-structuring. The key objectives are
  • Professionalization of GSS IT Operations as part of Industrialization journey within Group
  • Industrialize the GSS Pakistan Global IT Service (GIS) delivery and move from staff augmentation model to a managed service delivery model,
  • Building and securing key capabilities and competencies for Group in a captive delivery center in GSS Pakistan, in a global delivery model with
  • IT Operations (in Norway) responsible for strategic and tactical management of GSS’ IT Portfolio
  • IT Service Integrator (in Pakistan)- New organization, specializing on ITIL process and ensuring quality delivered by vendors and CoEs, fully offshored and SLA-based,
  • Centre of Excellence (in Pakistan)- State-of-art organization of development delivery centers in specific functional domain
Manager IT Service Integrator in GSS Pakistan will be responsible to ensure seamless delivery of E2E IT services within GSS SLA by delivering best practice management of IT service delivery processes across all services and vendors. This will include being the prime operational contact point for all IT vendors, securing professional escalation handling and dispute management, as well as continuous service management and reporting to GSS Management in Norway.

Manager IT Service Integrator will be responsible to manage and develop the IT Service Integrator unit, a crucial element in securing professional, high quality and consistent IT services for GSS, and will be reporting to the CEO of GSS Pakistan as part of the GSS Pakistan management team.

Goals

  • Day-by-day management of IT Service Integrator unit, monitoring and ensuring the continuous operations of IT service delivery in GSS
  • Manage and develop the IT Service Integrator unit into a professional best-practice IT service management team
  • Ensure, that the introduction of new and modified services happens in a planned & controlled manner and according to quality expectations
  • Accountability for management and improvement of ITIL processes
  • Responsible for service delivery of IT Service Integrator services to GSS
  • Responsible for oversight and well-functioning coordination with vendors / service providers on the operational level
  • Responsible for oversight and well-functioning coordination with GSS Service Provider functions
Your Typical day at work
  • Responsible for monitoring delivery on SLA, including follow up towards service-providers/vendors
  • Coordinate the internal production (end-to-end operational responsible for internal support process)
  • Identify and capture needs for improvements, put forward these to development responsible
  • Own war room activities managed by ITSI
  • Stakeholder Management – internally and toward vendors
  • Managerial tasks and responsibility for ITSI.
  • Participate in GSS PK Management Group
Eligibility Criteria

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT/Engineering/Computer Sciences or similar
Work experience:
  • Extensive experience within operational environments and similarly managerial experience incl. managing leaders & teams
  • Significant experience with offshore delivery operations
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL processes (Certifications in ITIL will be considered as an advantage)
  • Experience from shared services deliveries would be strong advantage
  • Experience with operational management and follow up on vendor/customer SLA’s and IT service catalogue
  • Stakeholder / vendor relationship management at operational / tactical levels
