| Job Description: |
| Inspection Engineer is responsible for scheduled/ unscheduled inspections of furnaces, boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping with particular reference to corrosion or any other service induced defects or damage.
The principal activities of the job include scheduling of jobs, assignment delegation, updating of databases, developing repair procedures, interacting with clients/ customers and recording/ reporting of the inspection findings/ recommendations through IPRL/ SAP database.
- Ensure compliance to Mechanical Integrity
- Ensure PIRR, MSA, SOC, PHA, PSSR point compliance relevant to assigned area
- Develop inspection plans and then implement them as per the guidelines provided
- Ensure the integrity of stationary equipment such as pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers by inspecting them at their pre-determined frequencies
- Provide repair procedures to Maintenance Department as technical support
- Maintain and monitor pressure safety valve calibration schedule to assure the safety and integrity of equipment and personnel as per the guidelines
- Participate in the review of new designs and subsequent plant modifications (both temporary and permanent) to ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes as per the guidelines provided
- Attain group objectives throughout and ensure quality of work by supervising, monitoring, developing and appraising subordinate staff
- Coordinate the inspection of in-coming materials and give acceptance / rejection decisions against the requirements of purchase orders and respective standards as per the guidelines provided
- Play a key safety role in the implementation and maintenance of inspection data management system (Credo Software and SAP)
