| Job Description: |
Job Objective - The Information Technology Security Specialist will have an overall responsibility of planning & implementation of bank wide IT security policy and maintain their standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other IT team members and provide day-to-day operational support.
- Maintains a high level of urgency and excellent customer response time.
- Isolate information security breaches and take corrective action to protect systems and data assets
- Excellent problem determination and resolving skills
- Work directly with the other IT domains manager for risk assessment program in line with IT security policies; recommend method and approaches for vulnerability detection and its remediation techniques as part of continuous improvement process.
- Participate in monitoring external threat situation, assessments of security advisories, implement mitigating actions and communication of security patch advisories.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the corporate information security program.
- Report and update management of all Information security events as per the escalation procedures.
- Design and implement Information security controls across the bank.
- Implement and manage firewall, IPS/IDS and security appliances.
- Develop and implement Information security controls for operating system, web applications and Databases.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance in the acquisition, design, development, implementation and support of the various components of the security architectural framework
- Assist IT department in developing Information security standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other attributes
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- In depth knowledge and hands-on experience of current leading networking technologies, databases, hardware and operating systems.
- Must be able to document work and communicate effectively within and outside the department.
- Preference will be given to the professionals with industry standard certifications in respective discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience and 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in networking, routing, firewalls and security architectures.
- Well organized with good analytical and time management skills
- Good at report writing.
- Ability to multi-task.
