| The ideal candidate should:
- Hold a Bachelors degree in Telecom/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with specialization in PS Core Network Planning /Operations
- Have 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
Job Description
- Responsible for design, planning, capacity dimensioning and expansions of GPRS/EDGE/3G
- Responsible for traffic balancing on all Packet Switch core network elements and congestion Removal on Packet Switch core network interfaces
- Plan and coordinate for all technical issues related to Packet Switch network, for launch of new Packet Switch core network elements (SGSN, GGSN, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, DPI), launch of new services/applications in Packet Switch domain, for GboIP BSCs Gb parameters, and for all issues related to GPRS international roaming
- Liaise with various teams within Technical department for all issues related to Packet Switch core network
- Ensure timely execution and follow up of daily tasks/related activities
- Responsible for coordination with other stake holders (Commercial departments, Technical departments, Customer Relations, Field Operations, NOC etc.) in order to ensure smooth deployment of new projects/network elements/trials
- Analyze Traffic report in order to identify KPI deviation and capacity issues and initiate necessary actions to address issues
- Spearhead initiatives to achieve operational excellence in the Core Activities
Essential Skills
- GPRS/EDGE/3G design and planning
- GPRS/EDGE/3G capacity dimensioning and expansions
- Traffic balancing on all Packet Switch core network elements
- Strong knowledge of upcoming technologies like 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi. HSPA, HSPA, DPI, PCRF
- Working knowledge of PS Core call flows and procedures, GSM/IP/Sigtran protocols
- Sound Interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Advanced level proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines and manage competing priorities under pressure
Desirable Skills
- GSM, VOIP, GPRS, Computer Programming skills including C++ debugging
- Good working knowledge of core KPI Theory, and signaling procedures, familiarity with definition and formula of major KPI counters along with 3GPP documentation for various scenarios
- Ability to monitor KPI status and troubleshooting or assist other teams for diagnosis of any degradation
