| Job Description: |
| This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities along with a high level of technical expertise. Must understand and conceptualize web applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. This position is responsible for developing new technologies as well as supporting existing applications. You are expected to plan, research and develop projects with minimal assistance, including formulating the underlying logic, writing code and developing appropriate unit tests. Should know how to build an ASP.NET web application from the ground up, as well as have skills to modify and build on legacy code using Visual Studio or other commonly used tools.
Duties
- Responsible for designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure
- Work closely with supervisors, project managers and other developers in an Agile development environment
- Work closely with client to align expectations and implement successful solutions
- Ensure that uniform enterprise wide application design standards are maintained
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure architecture is aligned with business requirements
- Analyze business application requirements
- Write code, test and debug software applications
- Recommend system changes and enhancements
- Will be responsible for the delivery of quality applications delivered on time and built in compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Document software specifications
Knowledge, Education, Skills Abilities
- Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, C#.NET, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XSL, XML and CSS required
- Knowledge and application of Design Patterns required
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008 T-SQL desired
- Knowledge of SharePoint 2010+ would be beneficial
- Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Services are required
- Must understand the importance of teamwork, collaboration and open communication
- Must have experience working on individual and group projects
- Experience in mobile development a plus
