The Position

We are seeking an iOS QA Automation Analyst with significant testing and test automation experience on Mobile iOS Platform. Successful applicants will work as part of a team responsible for development and maintenance of complex commercial software applications used by large public sector organizations to manage their facilities and assets. S/he will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Education/Experience Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Computer Science or Information Technology.

• Proficiency in Apple’s Swift Programming Language with emphasis on iOS.

• Proven experience (at least 2 years with at least 1 deployed app) in testing/developing iOS applications; e.g., experience with XCode, Cocoa Touch, iPhone/iPad Apple SDK.

• Proficiency in iOS testing tools/automation frameworks (such as XCTest) a plus.

• Knowledge of software QA processes and experience in testing & test automation preferred.

• Prefer experience with Objective-C, Multithreading, Core Data iOS framework, and SQLite a plus.

• Good relational database skills and SQL knowledge.

• Familiar with git for source control.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus.

• Experience with business application testing.

• Experience troubleshooting bugs in a production environment.

• Ability to communicate complex concepts and issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Learn the company’s commercial software application from both functional and transactional perspective.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of product test plans both written and automated.

• Translate functional descriptions of new product features into new test plans and automated test scripts.

• Perform automated/unit/functional testing of new revisions of the product.

• Identify defects, the severity of defects in a supported product and capture data in the provided issue tracking/resolution system in a clear and concise manner.

• Identify and provide needed revision information to product documentation.

• Work closely with development counterparts to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Coordinate/participate in meetings with the on-shore team on day to day basis and provide active feedback.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the on-shore Managers.
