| Job Description: |
Powersoft19 is looking for experienced Embedded Systems engineers with Linux Driver Development experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Solid kernel space programming skills in C/C++ under Linux.
- An expert in Linux networking and OS fundamentals.
- Understanding of various 32 bit Microcontroller/Microprocessor Architectures like ARM and others like Intel, Coldfire, Renesas, Microchip, Motorola etc.
- Solid hardware/firmware debugging skills. Must be able to develop firmware to test various parts of the Microcontroller based hardware.
- Experienced in working with GNU build system (autotools, autoconf etc).
- Experience developing and supporting device drivers and Linux networking kernel code is strongly desired.
- Experience with Kernel Module editing and Kernel security/module lockdown.
- Ability to read and understand Linux user and kernel level code.
- Proficient in performance profiling, tuning, and debugging of performance in kernel space.
- Deep Packet inspection (DPI) experience will be a plus.
- Experience maintaining a Linux Kernel.
- Experience compiling and building a Linux kernel.
- Experience debugging and resolving Linux kernel issues.
- Experience developing and applying Linux kernel patches.
- Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and scalable algorithms
- A good understanding of application level protocols like HTTP, DNS etc.
- Automated unit and regression testing.
- Performance and functional testing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must be a team player
- Service oriented person, able to work under pressure.
- Able to perform and excel under high pressure and tight timelines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Quick learner, self-starter, committed and self-driven
- BE, BS, MS, Electrical, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ relevant industry experience required.
