| Job Description: |
- Develop detailed electrical and systems designs and configurations based on given requirements for PV systems
- Working knowledge and experience with PV system components: Solar panels/arrays, Charge Controllers, Batteries, AC/DC loads and Inverters/UPS
- Exposure and knowledge of solar water pumping; experience a big plus
- Creating system implementation documents for use by field teams to implement the PV system
- Design, size and document the materials list for PV systems
- Maintain and modify all technical documentation including field documents and forms (survey reports, equipment checklists, trouble shooting reports)
- Train and brief field team technicians & staff on specifics of PV system implementation for every project
- Support field staff for technical issues and trouble shooting
- Visit (requires 30% travel) field locations in small villages and towns to oversee installations and/or trouble shoot existing installations.
- Support daily activities, managing RFIs, performing inspections, build drawings, action item registers
- Write technical proposals, including technical descriptions of major equipment
- Project completion Reports, lesson learnt, improvement needs etc
Other Important Requirements:
- Highly positive attitude towards backed by hard work, an extremely strong sense of ownership of tasks and responsibilities
- A must: Experience working in a corporate environment, in a team, visibility and reporting of tasks and action items, corporate communication (staff meetings, email correspondence)
- Infrequent (maybe once a month) travel outside of ISB to small towns to support, trouble shoot solar installations
