| Job Description: |
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Engineer with proven experience in the paint industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining formulations, ensuring product quality, and improving production processes in accordance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Formulation Development:
- Develop and modify paint and coating formulations based on client requirements and market trends.
- Conduct lab-scale experiments and scale up formulations to pilot and plant levels.

Process Improvement:
- Optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product consistency.
- Evaluate and implement new raw materials or technologies to enhance product performance.

Quality Control & Assurance:
- Oversee raw material testing, in-process checks, and final product quality testing.
- Troubleshoot quality issues and provide technical support to the production team.

Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical data sheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS), and formulation guides.
- Maintain accurate records of lab trials, test results, and production modifications.

Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH, VOC limits).

Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D, procurement, sales, and customer service teams for technical support and product customization.
- Interface with customers for technical queries, troubleshooting, and new product development (NPD).
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in the paint, coatings, or chemical manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in water-based/solvent-based paints, emulsions, or industrial coatings is preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of resin chemistry, pigment dispersion, additives, and formulation design.
- Familiarity with instruments like viscometers, gloss meters, spectrophotometers, etc.

Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

In 1976, Select Sports A/S of Denmark entered into an enduring business association with Anwar Khawaja Industries and transferred necessary technology for making artificial leather balls, which by that time had almost replaced the natural leather balls. Since 1976, Anwar Khawaja Industries and Select Sports A/s, Denmark have a unique relationship rarely seen in todays business world. The company is producing balls exclusively for Select Sports, Denmark and at the same time whatever Select is marketing is produced by Anwar Khawaja Industries. It is however pertinent to mention here that there has never been a written agreement among these two organizations in this regard. The company is supplying more than 2.5 million balls annually to Select Sports and its customers world wide including Europe and America and has the capacity to produce 10,000 balls per day. Protective Gears. In 1983, the company diversified its operations and started making Protective Gears such as Leg guards, Chest Guards, Arm Guards and Gloves for Hockey and Cricket to cope with the demand of various customers.
